Staff greets dogs, takes them out for a potty break, feeds breakfast, then the first play session starts!

Your pup is welcome to stay and play all day, but there is a $35 playcare charge if you pick them up after the listed pickup time:

Meet and Greet Day
Before any pup becomes part of the Mud Puppies Playcare family, they need to have a Meet and Greet day to make sure they enjoy being here and are a good fit. This is how we ensure your dog will be happy during playcare and come home delightfully worn-out.

Boarding Requirements

Pets must be in good health
Vaccinations
Veterinarian proof of Bordetella, Rabies and DHPP vaccinations are required. Rabies tags are not an acceptable form of proof
Behavior
Pets must interact with people and other pets in a safe and non-threatening manner
Fleas & Heartworm
Pets must be on widely accepted flea prevention and heartworm prevention programs
Meet and Greet Day
Upon receipt of a complete application packet and required documents, all pets will attend a first day Meet and Greet and screening period to assess suitability

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring for my dog’s boarding stay?
Nothing is required, but we strongly encourage bringing a bed or blanket from home. The familiar scent helps your dog feel comfortable and settle in faster, especially on their first stay. A favorite toy or a worn t-shirt from the owner works well too.
Can Mud Puppies administer medication during boarding?
Yes, our staff will administer your dog’s medication on schedule throughout their boarding stay. Medication administration is $1 per dose. Just provide the medication with clear instructions at drop-off and we will make sure your dog stays on their routine.
Is boarding available on holidays and weekends?
Yes, Mud Puppies is open for boarding on holidays and weekends. Holiday rates are $65 per night, with $60 for a second dog from the same household when sharing a bunk. Mud Puppies is closed for pickups and drop-offs on six holidays per year, though staff remain on-site caring for boarded dogs. We recommend booking holiday stays early, because they fill up quickly.
What are the drop-off and pick-up times for boarding?
Drop-off and pick-up are available during regular business hours at both Mud Puppies locations. Flexible timing within those hours means you can work boarding around your travel schedule. Contact us for specific hours at each location.
Does my dog need a Meet and Greet before boarding?
Yes, every new dog must complete a $35 Meet and Greet day before their first boarding stay at Mud Puppies. This lets us assess your dog’s play style and group fit, which is essential since full playcare is included with every overnight stay.
My dog has never boarded before. What do you recommend?
We recommend a trial night after your dog completes Meet and Greet. This gives your dog a chance to experience the overnight routine in a low-pressure way, and it gives you confidence before a longer stay. Most dogs settle in quickly after a successful trial.
Is daycare really included with boarding at no extra charge?
Yes, every boarding night at Mud Puppies includes full daycare with supervised play sessions at no additional cost. Your dog won’t be sitting in a kennel waiting for you! On pickup day, pickup begins when we open and there is a three-hour window where playcare is not charged. After that window, a $35 playcare charge applies for the additional daycare time.
